need some help here. I started the bike before I went to work, i let it run for a minute or so ...everything was fine.
This afternoon was another story. Tryed to start i and it stated to back fire...fire shooting out the tale pipe and every thing. needless to say it still didnt start. What could cause this and what to do

I ran into something similiar to that with my 900. It turned out to be the choke. I would open the choke all the way and try to start it. It would flood and foul my plugs. So, if it won't start without the choke, I just pull it up a little at a time until it starts. Then, I shut it off as soon as possible. It works for my bike. Good luck.

 

Thanks for the input, I found out what it was…old gas, bad plugs and needs a card cleaning. I took it to the shop cause I don’t know how (or should I say I don’t feel confident enough to do it myself. But one thing is for sure, I will learn how to do this type of work myself

 

Sometimes they get a little stomach virus from sitting through the winter months. Glad to hear it wasn't anything major.
