noob question.
I had an 89 600 Huuricane that i rode for 7 years...and in the end i took it to the dealership and had them do it for me.After looking over the manual a million times...i just couldnt make heads or tails of it..then i got the 03 RR...woo hooo
Thanks for the reply. I still have it in my head that I can do it. Ordering the book tonight. I read earlier that someone said the Haynes book is better than the Honda book. So I guess it'll be that one.
I have the kmanuel, its not that hard at all. As long as you follow it.When I take the engine to pieces sokmetikmes I like to photograph the part and location just to be on the safe side. One thing for sure, put lintfree rags or sokmething in the intakes befor you take off the carb assekmbly, to stop bits falling into them.
i have the clymes manual and it goes into extreme depth on how to remove and rebuild the carbs. i still didnt want to try and syncronize them, so its in the shop, letting the guys who know what they are doing do it.
I have ordered the haynes book on: http://www.repairmanual.com Hey, it was $6.95 plus shipping, more to put in the bike. I also looked at the carbs section at: http://www.dansmc.com/MC_repaircourse.htm It was helpful. By the end of this I may need every section. I pulled the carbs and cleaned them out. A couple of the jets were totally clogged I cleaned all i could while the tank was off, I've got her all back together, not the plastic, and the kicker is I cannot start the bike because I finished at 3:00am. Sure looks cool like a street fighter. Will take it around the block like that!!! I hope I hope I hope.
