No oil pressure after low side
2011 1000rr
Took a fairly easy going wet low side a few weeks ago. Sliders took most of the impact. Cosmetic issues only except for low oil pressure light is on.
- oil pressure wire has continuity
- oil pressure sensor may be damaged. Ordered a new OEM
- removed sensor and cranked: no oil came out. Only a dribble *let start only once for a few seconds
- attached a oil pressure gauge and it obviously read nothing
- drained oil and removed filter thinking air might be an issue. Refilled. Light still on after cranking
Next step is to open the oil pan. All I’m thinking is that either I knocked loose some whatever and it’s clogged the oil system or the crash has knocked loose something like the chain on the oil pump drive?
Any advices are greatly appreciated
What should I check?
