I have a 96 cbr 600 f3. On the left side below the gas tank there is like a valve which can be set for three positions (left, up, and right) is this the petcock valve? If so what are the three positions for? Thanks Guys.

 

the three positions are off horizontal (STRAIGHT ACROSS) on (down) and reserve (up)
