Default New User needs help

Hi all,

Good to become a member.

I have a CBR 600f4 1999. Love it!

I have just replaced the indicators with some nicer little LED jobs. The old flashers werethe only thing that made my bike look older. Just fitted the relay to make these flash at the correct speed - but guess what - I also managed to mess something else up.. Since sitting the relay, my bike will not idle and cuts out, even with choke fully open. I may have plugged the relay in to the wrong place first (the connection next to the flasher relay).

Can anyone help? Feel like I have fried some electrics or something//?!

Cheers,

Chritchell

Check the fuses first and see if you blew something. Also make sure you didn't purposely or accidently unplug something around the areas you worked. I guess I'd start there.

Yea check your relays, I just discovered that I did the same thing. Bike would turn over and over. What did the relay look like what angle did the connection come out at. The relay right next to the flasher relay is the fuel cut off relay and that will keep your bike from starting

I would plug in the relay you removed and see what happens. If the bike runs without a problem, you removed the incorrect relay.

Cheers guys, the CBR is alive again - started up first time after I went to undo my previous mistakes.

-I must have somehow managed to plug the fuel relay to the flasher circuit and the flasher relay to the fuel!! (oops)
