Question New coolant now temp gauge stuck on cold

I put new coolant in my 93 CBR600f2. Now the temp gauge stays on cold. What went wrong? I put 2.9 letters of coolant in. The res tank has half way to upper line filed. Will my bike over heat? Any and all help . . . Thank you. Also when should my fan come on it seems to never turn on? I have 89 Kawasaki EX500 and the fan seems be on all the time. Any ideas?

Only thing I can think of is an air pocket. You might need to burp the system. Or the sensor just happened to give out when you changed coolant...or maybe somehow the thermostat is now stuck open.

I would have to yes the sensor is plug in as I never removed it . . . Or did I and just did not know it. The air pocket sounds like a great first place to investigate. How about the fan question. When will it turn?

I fix the issue. I think the T stat just got stuck. I let the bike warm up and then shook it. Vvvvvvwala. Thank you both for your advice.
