Default New CBR 1000F owner, need some advise

Hello to all, I recently purchased a 1991 CBR 1000f. The bike is in really good shape and rides like a dream. There are no mods done to the bike at this time.18,300 miles on the clock. I am looking to change to a K&N air filter and possibly re-jet. I would like a little more throttle response, I prefer to keep the quiet stock exhaust. Can I change the filter to K&N without rejetting? If so I may try that first. I am also looking for a seat with a removable backrest for the passenger(wife). I found the Corbin Gunfighter and Lady setup, was wondering if there are any other options out there. Thanks in advance.

go up two or three on the rear sprocket
