Default Need some advice

Just purchased an 88 Hurricane last Fri...got 300 miles seat time already...I love it! OK, now for the advice part. I'm 6'1" and the windshield appears to be made for a much shorter person. I'm used to a full fairing and big windshield and don't like the wind buffetting I'm getting. My first upgrade needs to be a larger windshield. I've seen a place I can get a taller windshield (up to 10") and another solution with a adjustable air dam. What works and what doesn't? Additionally, my shoulders get in the way of my mirrors vision. Is there a spacer or longer mirrors that will look around me? This should solve most of my immediate issues with an otherwise great ride. Assistance appreciated.

well I dont know about taller windscreens...I have a double bubble, which helps alot on the interstate, I have saw a tall windscreen on a yamaha and it just looked awful...as far as the mirror, I am 5'9" and I have to move my arms to see out of them. just somtheing you have to get use too.

im 6'3" and 230 pounds.

I got a double bubble and it helped a lot for the wind.

Stock mirrors are pretty much the longest out reaching ones you'll find. Its a sportbike, so everything is tighter. I have my mirrors adjusted so that i can see about half of the road behind me on either side, then I pull my elbows in a little to see the whole thing behind me.

Sage i dont know about the windshield sorry. But for the mirrors they do make extenders, may have to use one for another bike, but do some searching, they are out there. Here is one link for ya anyhow to give you an idea.

Thanks for the advice so far. I'm still looking for someone that is using or used one of the extended or air dam windshields. Don't want my bike butt ugly but would like to hear some tunes as I'm riding. So post up if you can.
