Default need help finding out what year my engine is

hey, what up people. kinda got myself a problem.

ya see, i got a 95 cbr900rr, and i need to change my stator, because it keeps blowing out my rectifiers(2nd one i went thru).

but the problem i have is that i have a really good feeling the engine on my bike might not be from a 95. when it got serviced before i bought it, the tech said the motor was not from a 95, but he couldnt tell me what year it was from.

from my understanding and what i can tell from trying to order a new stator, is that 93-95 and 96-99 use different stators, according to the parts website anyways. i do not want to spend my hard earned money on a part for a different model year, that wont work or worse break something else on the bike. does it matter what year i get the stator for? are the the same or compatible?

i also have tiny mini fuses in the fuse box, and to my limited understanding, this is from the 96 and up wiring harness?

are newer harnesses compatible with older models?

where can i get the engine code so i can order the right part for my bike
thanx.

The engine code is on the block, right side, near the clutch cable . for 95 the codes are
UK 1995 PC25E-2400095 on. US PC25E-2400100
96 PC25E-2500001 on
97 PC25E-2600001 on
