The tank had gas in it when I bought the bike so the old pump was toast, cleaned tank and bought a new pump shortly after and rode the bike for two weeks with out any problems at all then yesterday started it up and it ran fine for about 10 seconds then died, drained tank and took pump out and checked all fuses, bas and kill switch and they all checked out fine, hooked pump straight to battery and it worked, hooked pump up and ran a test wire from brown wire on relay to the blue wire on pump and it primed like it should but with out that test wire it doesn't work at all so that's what makes me think its the blue wire, I swapped out the relays a bunch of times with no change, again pump primes like it should when I have a test wire ran from the brown wire to the blue wire

Good morning Cody, any progress, this has got to be a wiring issue, will check the manual and get back to you

Just been looking again at the wiring diagram, are you getting any power on the 3 pin connector ( Brown Wire )Harness side to the pump, as that one connects to the internal Blue wire, The Brown/Black wire is to the Fuel sensor, worth taking a look at the 3 pin connectors both sides into the pump,Connect a volt meter to the + Brown wire and - to the Green wire Harness side , turn on ignition while watching the voltmeter, if you have battery voltage for a few seconds ,the circuit is working

Looks like the problem lies in the pig tail that runs from the pump, I live in the UK thats why there's a difference in timing, did you buy just the pump or the whole unit that fits inside the pump

when I get home I'll test the pig tail and see if I'm getting power to the blue wire

Default Pig tail is the problem

I hooked up my test light and tested the positive side of the pig tail that runs to the top of the fuel pump and the test light barley lights up and I mean barely

Remember Cody that if the Relay is working properly the exposure to voltage will only be when you switch the ignition on and only for a few seconds, have you tried that with the tester

yes I have, the light comes on in the tester for a few seconds then shuts off like the pump does when it is priming, now if I test the brown wire on the bottom of the fuel sump the light is nice a bright but when I test the blue wire the light barely comes on
