spools can be done, but requires you to drill/tap holes or have tabs welded on. I drill/tapped my stock swingarm for spools n had no neg issues with it. I now have a RR swinger tho

But even just using the swingarm pads on a rear stand will work just fine. Just do like previously posted, break the bolts loose first then put on the stand

I'm not trying to jack the thread... but can you really spin the bike on the kickstand? I've seen a guy spin a r6 around and then ride away. sorry not trying to jack the thread.

I'm just being lazy. I need to swap the swing arm and don't feel like pulling the motorcycle jack out the basement

For an all in one stand, it'd be pretty good. Like swapping the kickstand. My jack interfered a bit when I did mine and I didn't have a rear stand at the time.

Edit: bleah just thought about it and it wouldn't work. Will be lugging the jack up when its warm anyways

Edit 2: Hmm... they make a swingarm removal kit to use with the stand. Looks like it attaches to the foot rest. Ah well, no US distributor anyways. Might go have a talk with the guys at Revzilla and see if they'll try to get one in

when I did mine I used racket straps from rafters hooked onto the pass pegs

I plan on buying either a Pit Bull or a Trex that has both swingarm and spool provisions... then I'll be covered for now and whatever I decide to do in the future.. but until then the sidestand will require someone to help hold the bike while I swap it out...

yet another reason that a center stand would be so nice.. lol

just swapped a fuel filter in my car on the cold garage floor.. man I miss warm air..
