My oil pan should be named Niagara Falls
Hey everyone, new here but had my 93 F2 for about 7 years. Been wrecked before but ran good when I bought it, life came along and my frame off resto got held up. Long story short, I got back on and did what I needed to get it running good again (carb rebuild, tank clean, new battery and such)
checked the oil many times before my last excursion which was after I’d gotten the bike running on its own again, took two quick rides up the street (quarter mile max total) and parked it cause it was late.
came back to the garage an hour later to get something and wouldn’t you know, there’s vanilla pudding on the ground. Water and oil (I topped the empty coolant system with straight water before riding) mixed up bad
heres the details - ran good and strong when cooking system was empty. Filled cooling and now water oil mixed. Drained the pudding completely best I can. I’ve pulled the water pump, found the rubber bushing/seal for the housing to input shaft was loose and reseated. Pulled the oil cooler, replaced the oil radiator o-rings and checked all other oil cooler gaskets.
to test, I left the oil drain plug out and filled the radiator after replacing everything. After about a third gallon water came pouring out the oil drain hole. For back story, I did notice a hair line crack in the exterior engine case directly forward the starter that leaked previously and I “sealed” with epoxy.
I’m not opposed to pulling the engine again and breaking it down to inspect but I’m trying to get a baseline here, are we looking at a severely cracked block? If so, it’s not worth the money to replace the engine casing but I’m hoping maybe I’ve missed something else to check
