Hi folks , last week end i went to a ride about 60 miles and parked my bike in garage , it was sitting idel for about 4 days , yesterday when i tried to start my motorcycle , its not starting, i could see all lights are coming fine when i turn on the ignition key, initially i thought battery was dead, so i took it to autozone , they charged the battrey and told me that it was fine, so i came back and placed the battrey back in my bike, and tried to start the bike, the bike is not starting all, i could here is the clicking sound , when i press the self start button, can any one sujjest what could be wrong ?

I also took my old battery to autozone today, they said they cannot test the battery is good or not. They don't have the proper tester for motorcycle battery. Then I went to O'reilly, they told me the same but guy at O'reilly said he can get a voltage reading. My old battery tested at 13.66volt...he was sure battery is good. So I was so worry it was some other electrical problem. Before I start trouble shooting, I wanted a second opinion, I took battery to Cycle Gear, they pull out a tester specialize for motorcycle battery...turns out that even if the battery voltage reading is good at 13V, but then they test the crank power, actual crank amps is bad....so my battery is dead even if a voltage reading is good...So before you trouble shoot, how old is your current battery? Take it to a motorcycle shop for a proper testing...I doubt autozone have the proper equipment like Cycle gear did.

Hope this helps...

It is Free....just tell them you want to find out, make sure battery is good/bad before buying a new one.
