buy a canyon dancer you will not regret it its 30 bucks other than that you only need to support the left and right handle bar to the tie down compress the suspension a little and you golden. now how to get it in their is another concern. get some friends or a long 2x10 and make a ramp

hey there

if you don't have a loading grate or something than a long board should do like stated in the previous post. i try to find like a small hill or something to back the pick up to and load the bike from there, it takes away from the angle of the board and makes it easier. i would have atleast one helping hand besides yourself, ideally two.

once it's in there, you want to be mainly concerned with having the front down. i used a tension strap around each of the front forks and fastened it to the hooks in the pickup. tighten them so the suspension is compressed about half way and the bike is still straight up. i also put a strap on either side on the back attached to the frame somewhere, just incase, but the front two are going to do the most work. once it's in there you want to be able to shake the pickup and have the bike bike move solidly with it. keep the kickstand up, not down, and i would probably put the bike in gear. hope all works out

handlebar straps are deffinatly a big help. I loaded mine into my f-150 with two friends....lift the front end onto the truck with one guy in the truck to steady it and two lifting. Then pick up the rear with that same one guy keeping the bike inline. that worked pretty well. Now I have a four wheeler ramp that is the width of the bed, so i just drive it up.

the biggest thing is getting the suspension compressed without having the straps rubbing the side of the bike. they should go from the handles or forks and then out to the side of the bed. if you put any pressure on the plastics they crack...as the military shipping company found out with my bike[:@]

They sell light foldable aluminum ramps at harbor freight. I usually center my bike in the bed. The tie down points in my bed are on the bottom. If you have the square holes in the top of your bed sides, home depot has plugs that go into those with hooks on them. I take a ratchet strap to to each passenger peg at the rear and give it a few clicks to hold it up. Up front, I hook the straps into the bed, I then go over the fender up through the fairing and hook the other end over the top triple clamp. I also built a little chock to put the fron tire into. I do this so that I don't have to crank down the front forks and compress my suspension. Then again, just a few clicks to hold in place.

Thats how she goes to the track each week.
