More Precise Tach
does anyone know where i can get a tachometer that is able to detect changes as small as 50RPM. i need to adjut the pilot screws on my carbs and the manual says to use one of these.
well all in all might be a good idea, if they were not $400+. i know there are cheaper ones out there i just dont know where to look.

My 30-year-old Sears Dwell/Tachometer has 0-2,000 rpm in a large 90 degree sweep. Check out ebay for something like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Sears...spagenameZWDVW
thanks slowpoke, i did find this one if anyone is interested....

they have a standard unit that is $26 and reads 0-9,999 RPMs and refreshes every 2.5 secs.
they also have a commercial unit that is $65 and reads 0-20,000 RPM and refreshes every .5 secs.
the downside to both of these is that they are designed for 1 cylinder, and if you have multiple cylinders(which i hope we all do) you have to call them so they can modify the units for you. Thanks all for the inpt however i found a buddy who has one of those mercury synchronizers so i can get it done there.
