Default Micron exhaust welding

Hi

Just joined the site. Its very good and helpful.

I have just inherited a CBR1000F-j from my brother and want to get her back to her former glory.

It has a Micron Exhaust (MPH 31) system fitted and I would ideally like to get it repaired because it sounds lovely and I'm poor!!

It's difficult to explain clearly but there is a pipe permanently connected to the silencer which goes underneath the middle of the bike where it joins the 4 into2 bit and the end of it has rusted away. Is there any way of repairing it or should I just give up or is there anywhere to get one? I have tried all the usual suspects like eBay etc...

Any bright ideas or other options?!!

Thanks

uhh im not positive on exactly what youre talking about, post some pictures if you can. but are you saying theres a hole rusted in one of the midpipes after the header and you just need to replace it? You can probably take the bike to a local muffler shop and theyll probably be able to weld a new section of pipe in to replace it. Should probably cost $1-200 at the most. Maybe less if youre lucky.
