A friend of mine has an 02 gsxr 600 with and micron can on it. He's buying a new can at the end of the season and wanted to know if I wanted his old one. He cut it to be a shorty but it sounds great and looks really nice, but I was wondering is it going to cause any problems? I have the stock exhaust setup on my bike now and was just wondering whether throwing this one on would be at all detrimental. I know exhausts are tuned for backpressure and such, but I didn't think it would hurt since all I'm messin with is the can, not my whole exhaust system. What do you guys think?

 

i highly doubt it would do any kind of damage....its just a can

 

Those were my same thoughts, but I just wanted to make sure someone wasn't going to tell me gsxr's run off way more or less backpressure. I know running straight is bad on that term, so I figured a double check wouldn't hurt.
