master link chain vs. riveted chain
For future reference, the tools you can pick up on amazon or ebay for 20 bucks, WILL work without issue.
Dont worry about the reviews, I bought one and figured for the price if it broke after a single use, it would still pay for itself. If it didn't then I'd be ahead of the game
Ive only done 3 chains with it but it's still in good shape. Just have to take your time with it and it'll be fine.
Glad you updated this post , I was wondering about clipped master links myself. Now I know how they can be a pain in the backside.

I'm not sure why some people have had no problems and I've lost 4 clips... I'm still running the same chain and sprockets, after having a riveted link installed, with no other issues.
