Default lubin the chain

Looked for a bit but cant find a answer so...

How often do i need to lube the chain.

Have a 07 cbr 600rr just broke 1000 miles. is it time?

You need to clean/lube/adjust the chain every 400 or 500 miles. It has all that info in your owners manual. My chain needed a lot of adjustment at the 500 mile mark, so I'm sure yours is very dirty and out of adjustment.

lube very 250 if you like, check tension before every ride (safe but excessive i think). clean and lube every 500.
once the chain breaks in it'll stretch less or not at all...then you won't need to adjust it until it starts to go south...then you'll find that you need to adjust every week or after every ride.
