Default lost key

Hello I had made a post a few days ago about my keys. Anyhow my bike is a 04 f4i that I bought new and my question is what are the bolts that hold the ingition in (bolts on the bottom of the ignition). My shop told me it was tamper proof bolts and I tryed the tamper proof hex heads and couldn't get nothing. The bolts look very strange to me.I really don't feel like loading the bike in my truck to take itto the shopand let them over charge me to work on it. Can anyone atleast tell me what you call the tool that is needed to get them out?
thanks

If I recall they are torx bits, don't know the size but you can buy a cheap kit for about $20.00.If that doesn't work you can remove the upper tripple clamp take the whole thing to a locksmith and have them make you a key.And if you like at that time you can remove those bolts if you desire.

While at the locksmith, get about 3 extra keys made.

The first one is expensive. Copies are not. ($1.50 each for me)

I lost my original Honda key a few months back, after I had lost my copy of it a few months before.

Luckily I had the necessary info to tell the locksmith exactly the key I needed.

He made the key without me having to bring the ignition or anything.

I then hah...got home and managed to find my original Honda factory key.

Jeez what a friggin day that was.

have a mobile locksmith come and look at it.

by the way, to directly answer your question they are probably the one way 8mm allen bolts which means that you need to slot them with a dremel or drill them to get them out.
