Default Loss of throtle response. Help!

06 cbr 1k / 500 miles on it.
When gearing down and blipping throttle to match rev's, I seem to have lost responsiveness in the throttle. I used to crack it and the engine would roar immediately now there seems to be a lull and the rev's dont come up near as fast.
Only real performance mod on the bike is a Yosh RS5 slip on. Could I be running rich, tailpipe seems to be blackening quickly.

Anybody else have this issue on the 06 1k?

Lemmie know. Thanks gents.

Default RE: Loss of throtle response. Help!

It might just be your bike adjusting to the new exhaust. I'm not a mechanic, but I think that if you allow it to cough more without allowing it to breath more, it will only cough what's in the system, hence, fuel, therefore the unused fuel residue at the tailpipe. Maybe you now need a filter, or even a pc to even it out with a new mapping. I do know that when you start making adjustments to your bike, once you have the ability to control those adjustments (with a pc) you can make use of your purchases and tune it. You could also run a set of denso plugs in it. This might help combust the extra fuel the bike is compensating for with the exhaust.

This is all just guessing though.
