Default Lights on with Key on?

Alright so my bike died on me when I was riding it. I noticed that the fuel pump is not priming when I turn the key on. I just noticed that my headlight and turn signals won't work with the key on. Are they suppose to or will they only work will the motor running?

sounds like it could be as simple as a fuse.

what bike is it? It will depend on the bike if the headlight comes on with key or only on start up. But most Honda's, the headlight comes on with the key. But running lights are suppose to come on with the key no matter what bike it is.

The bike is a 01 600 f4i. I have checked all the fuses and relays and all are good. I have also checked the battery and connections, those are good. I know the there is no power going to the fuel cut off relay. I just don't know what the cause of this is. Any ideas?

sinced you checked the fuses and relays, the only other thing that I can think of that cuts power to the fuel pump is the bank angle sensor.

you can try to bypassing it. Unplug the 3 prong connector and jump the two outside prongs from the wiring harness.

However, it would be very odd for it to just quit like that.

Does your gauge cycle when you first turn on the key?

I have bypassed the BAS and still nothing. The gauges do cycle. I know that the fuel pump works cause I hooked it up to the battery and it primes. Any other ideas?

I found the problem. It was a bad connection at the plug into the harness for the kill switch. Thanks for all your input.
