Default led blinkers

hey guys i have a 1995 f3 and im installing led blinkers and ive herd u have to put resistors in so the flashing will slow down to normal instead of blinking fast like a bulb is out i was just wonderin if anyone know how big resistor i need

Resistors will work but they tend to get hot. An alternative is to replace your flasher relay with one of the ones below that are designed to provide a slower flash rate and they don't get hot. Scroll down to the bottom of the page where the motorcycle flashers are.

is the heat something you have to worry about with the limited amount of time you actually use your turn signals? Just a Q that popped into my head.

The resistor heat issue is something I read about on various places. They say to not mount them where they will not be exposed to air (wrapping in a wire bundle with shrink wrap, etc.).

I like the electronic LED relay idea. I have resistors for my Rizoma Zero 11 LED rear signals and they take up a bit of room in my underseat storage area. I'm thinking about getting rid of them and getting one of the LED flasher relays for around $9. The company that makes them is right along my route home from work.
