Default knock/ticking on first startup

i just got a 97 900rr a week ago thing only has 5527km on it and is in mint shape like new chrome rims frame exhaust and a steering damper

sometimes when its first started up with the choke on it dies right away then i fire it up agian and play with the choke a bit and it revs up to about 2500-3000rpm until i shut the choke off then it idles smoothly and also on the first start up it sounds like there is a knock/ticking sometimes for a second or two when it reachs idle or more it gone then dont hear it at all only on start up sometime

i think im just beening peronoid

sounds like the ticking noise is your cam chain tensioner easy fix prob. cost ya around $65 all together if you do it yourself the choke issue is normal because its cold and when it warms up the rpm will go down...so im pretty sure this is normal I've had 4 bikes so far and they all did this when starting in the cold weather

it's got an after market pipe, make sure the carbs have been jetted properly, may be to lean. also make sure it's running a high grad fuel 91 or higher.
