Just got a Power Commander IIIr. I have a question.
I just bought a Power Commander IIIr for my 01 CBR F4i. My question is: Do I have to hook this PC IIIr to a computer and my bike at the same time to be able to put the Map for my bike on the PC IIIr? And does anyone have any good maps out there for a Yoshimura TRS pipe with a K&N air filter?

You should posted this in the General Tech section. Techs rarely look here.
Every bike and rider is different. Nobody will have a map that is really appropriate for you. You can have a friend with identical parts on their bike, but because their riding style differs from yours, their map won't be the best thing for your bike. You need to take your bike to a shop or track with a dyno, and they will make the map that YOUR bike needs. That's what you do with a power commander. You don't just stick it on your bike, download some fodder from the Internet, and have it magically be awesome. That's half-assed, and a complete waste of all that money you spent on an awesome power commander. Also, be aware this is the LAST step in upgrading your bike, as adding more components later will render your current map worthless, and can even cause the PC to DEGRADE your performance.
Do the job RIGHT, and you will be VERY pleased with the results. Do the job half-assed, and you would have been better off spending all that money on other parts.
