Issues with 1st gear
I took my bike to get an adjustable kickstand installed because I had it lowered. It was done at a MC dealer so I trust they know what they’re doing right?
Well after I had it installed, I find it harder to kick it back into 1st gear. Specially when I’m slowing down, it just stays in Neutral. I have to come to a complete stop and kick it back into first but harder than I normally did. And sometimes I try to kick it to 1st gear without stopping and it kinda wants to take it but it goes back to Neutral. And when it does go to 1st, it makes a louder clicking sound than it normally did. So…WTF?
All they did was install a kickstand and adjust the chain. Why would I have issues with the gear?

How loose or tight is the chain now? That will make a difference on how it shifts. I try to leave mine with about 1 1/4" of up/dn deflection when measured at the midway point on the bottom half.
Ahhh, gotcha! lol. I'm taking it back to the dealer today and see if they can fix it.
