Default Incorrect speed display

Maybe someone out there can help. My 98 cbr6 is reading high on the speedo. Previous owner replaced the kph speedo to a mph. Should it read correctly or is there more work required. [&:]

I'm pretty sure just about all the Honda's overstate your speed on the speedo. do a search for speedo healer or probably just speedo and you will see some posts on this.

Thanks for your reply but it seems really high. Could it still be indicating kph even though the speedo now reads mph? Or am i just being dumb.
