I own a XBr12 buell06 model which I love, but when a friend left his wife and his bikes both Cbr's one a 600rr 06 the other a 97 Smokin joe model which i bought from him for 1500.00, has a few problems needs a chain and sprocketswhich I'll do saturday, I also need to replace the water cover(it's leaking)just above the kickstand whre do I buy that ? and the fan is not working , my friend said the bike was really fast but topspeed for me was 115. I do weight 215 so maybe that's a factor. Of course I've had the buell up to 140 with the same fatness. one more how do I upload pix ?

 

I just did chain and sprockets on my F2 and it was way easier than I thought. Also got a new rear tire and rear brake pads whileI was at it. When I tore into mine I found out that someone replaced the stock 15 tooth gear with a 14. Perhaps something similar happened to you?

As far as the water cover, I'm not sure what that is. Above the kickstand on mine is the front sprocket cover.
