Default IDENTIFY THIS PART..

im having a FI problem, i can't get my fuel pump to prime, and when i run the fuel pump hot, i still don't get ignition...

i was tugging at the wires near the injectors, and i think i came down to the conclusion that this is my problem. can anyone identify it or have any idea's as far as testing it?

thanks.

alright, yeah, i doubt thats my FI problem... i dunno what to do.

my headlights went out, and i traced the problem back to the starter button, a soilder came loose, and i repaired, and tested the switch and its all good now... i get all my lights, and everything, but all i get is the FI light now.. sometimes the fuel pump primes but, not 100%. i also bypassed the bank angle.

what feeds the fuel cut off relay? and where does it go? thats where i need to look.

the dash says neutral, so im assuming thats good.. the kickstand shouldn't be a problem untill i get into 1st gear.

damn, im soo ready to just take this into the shop... damnit!

why did you by pass the bank angle sensor ? when turning my bike around on the kickstand my fuel pump would somtimes stop working then i would sit on it (balanicng the bike in a normal riding position) and then shut the bike off and try it again and the fuel pump would prime this time... so im guessing that you could have a problem with the BAS ... and yes make sure you're in neutral and the kill switch is in the off (deactivated .. meaning bike will run) position and hook the bas up normally and see what happens... also what happens when you send power directly (jumping) directly to the power and by pass the relay ?

well, origonaly i thought i had a probelm with teh BAS... and i atually hacked it up, learning how the sensor worked.. it was a oil submerged sensor using magnets for connection.. anyways, i wanted to bypass it to eliminate that error for good. other than dropping the bike, and it still running, what harm does jumping the BAS have?

right now the BAS is bypassed, and the bike is on a stand.. so its as level as it can be.. still intermitant starts.

the bike has been in neutral for the past 3 days.. [sm=badbadbad.gif]

and what do you mean have the stop switch in the off position?

"and yes make sure you're in neutral and the kill switch is in the off (deactivated .. meaning bike will run)" that doesn't make sence.. the off... means oposite of RUN?

ive tested the relay numorus times.. i get great continuity.. but im unsure of what wires to "jump" to basicly bypass the fuel shut off relay.

ok, now the PDF repair file for the F4i.. it says the brown solid color goes to the fuel pump...

key on, neutral, kickstand down.. in RUN.. with the pump jumped, and running.. i crank, but no start.

the other half of that relay, is blk/wht... its also spliced into the engine shut off relay, and its ground.

i don't know if i have a bad ground somwehre, or a bad sensor.. damnit, this is soo ****ing difficult.
