What's your deductable on your insurance? Might make the cost of new rotors look cheap if you pile up your CBR... just a thought. Performance bikes require performance brake components. Do yourself a favour - spend the jingle on rotors & pads. And you're absolutely correct about cooking your rear brake... you don't wanna have to replace that one too.
