Default Hurricane.. electrical problem

My 1990 hurricane starts to burn the starter relay 30A fuse. I start the bike but around 7 seconds later the fuse blows.

what can be? Rectifier?

r/rcould be on of the possibilities. the r/r is the charging system. if the battery is charged then you can start the bike with the r/r disconnected. to do this there is a power cable should be red with a white tracer. disconnect that, try again.

if problem persists r/r is not the problem.

a short in the system, has anything been rewired recently?

Ok, today discover 2 things

1.- I have a false contact in the Rectifier plug. That is an easy fix.

2.- Voltage on battery goes up when i rev the bike. It rev around 3K and voltage goes around 19 volts, probbably more if i rev it higher, so i rappidly decide to turn of the bike.

I suppose that voltage increment is not normal. I think the job of the rectifier is to mantain an stable voltage at any RPM, but i donīt know if im correct.

Yes, you are correct that the voltage should not exceed about 15vdc. The voltage does fluctuate but should stabilize above around 3000-5000 RPM.

Voltage regulator changed.... but still have the same problem, at idle got around 14.8 volts and if i throttle the voltage goes up...

What else need to check???
