how to make PCIII maps
I have a dynojet pc3 and I went to dynojet.com and it only has certain premade maps. How can I make my own custom map...is there a website that helps or what? I have a 2005 cbr1000 wit a yosh slip on, bmc filter, sprockets, etc
I'm assuming you have the software that came with the PCIII. It has a manual for using it under the help menu.Basically you could just open a pre-made map and edit it by changing the values (this would at least give you a starting point). Each number in the grid correspondes to the percentage of injector duty cycle for that given throttle position at the corresponding RPM.
With that said, I don't think it would be a good idea for you to just createa map with out being able veiw air/fuel data. It would be best to see if someone on the forum has the same setup and has already had their ride tuned at an authorized dealer. Then you could just download and install their map or you could pay to get your bike tuned. Plugging in your own numbers could result in running rich or lean. In any case, you wouldn't reap the benefits of having the PCIII since the engine wouldn't be running efficiently. Just my opinion but if you'd like to try it on your own the software manul that came with the PCIII has all the answers your looking for.

Do yourself a HUGE favor and pay to get it mapped by a *reputable* Dynojet place. Not all maps are created equal. I spent over 300 dollars for mine but it took a whole tank of gas and about 6 hours total to get it done. The difference is amazing.
