How do i replace the gear shift lever

I just recently broke the peg on the gear shift lever. I just wanted to see if anyone knows how to fix it or replace it.

When mine broke I unbolted the rearset and twisted it counter-clockwise to unscrew it from the shift rod. There will be an o-ring holding the shifter to the rearset that you take off then slide the old shifter out.
