Default How do i empty my fuel tank?? HELP!

I have a honda cbr 125 and the petrol tank needs replacing as it has been damaged. I know how to take it off but my only concern is that how would i empty the old one as it has a full tank of fuel.

Any help would be appreciated

Remove tank and open the petcock? Not a vacuum petcock is it? Use fuel line to get it all in a jerry can so you don't make a mess

Pull off the fuel line and empty it into a gas can.
Or you can be impatient like me, pull the whole tank off, and try to dump it all out of the fill hole into a rubbermaid container.
In hindsight, that wasn't the best idea I've ever had.

Do i disconnect the fuel line from the actual tank? Wont that cause all the fuel to start pouring out from the bottom? Or do i disconnect the fuel line from the engine?
Thanks!

I'm not really familiar with this exact bike, but on every other bike I've drained the tank on it's the same. You just pinch the fuel line a little bit so the gas won't come pouring out while you disconnect the line that attaches to the petcock/fuel rail. (I usually use vice grips, but don't over do it and damage the line. They also make little clamps for this)
Then stick the end of the disconnected hose into a gas can and unpinch it to let the fuel drain into the can.
