Default Honda (non cbr) question

A lot of you may remember me from awhile back, had to sale my cbr's due to my knee problems. Well i finally got me a cruiser and....well....most of the people on the other forums I've found are A$$-HOLES. At least the forum i asked my question in, and here it is for a crowd who has helped me out in the past with my bikes.

I'm trying to gauge a price for getting a complete once over on my bike will cost. Would probably need Valve Adjustment, carb sync, new brakes, along with a new rear tire put on.
I plan on doing the chain, fluids and other small things myself. I'm guessing in the ball park of 300-500 to have this done. I know the tire alone is $70 just to have it put on.

And it is a 1999 Honda Shadow ACE Deluxe
33,000 miles and still runs really good.

Also including some pics of the new scoot, needs paint and handlebar switches pretty bad due to fading. Other than that it runs like a Honda should....like a CHAMP.

I would call the shop i wanted the work done. They should give you a price over the phone. If your guessing around 3-400 it will probably cost you 6-800. Seriously. Call and you will get your answer.

I am a little confused why you would have to adjust the valves and get the carbs synced if it runs like a champ

not to mention, if you are buying a tire from the shop, they shouldn't be charging you $70 for installation. Get a set of levers and do it yourself. I have a local shop that will mount a tire for $10, even if you don't buy it from him. I was shopping on the internet and found he had a price on the tires that I wanted, At this point he was just some shop on the internet, then I looked up their location to gauge shipping, and realized they were 5 miles away.
