Default Honda CBR 600 F3 Electrical Problems

For anyone with a bit of electrics expertise....

When I bought my CBR, the previous owner had bypassed the automatic fan to a on/off switch on the handlebar so that he could switch it on and off whenever he wanted to..... Im not sure why, but I'm sure he had a good reason.....Anyway, I must have knocked it on yesterday when I got to work and let it run for hours so when I came back to the bike the battery was flat as a pancake.

Aside from a battery in need of some charging, does anyone know if there is anything else in the electrics that might have gotten burned out by a fan running that long? Just want to be sure as I'll have to do any work in the basement of my office away from the convenience of my garage.

All the best

Bob

Hey there Bob,
the battery should be all that was affected. If it were me, i would look into possibly converting back to be as originally designed.
As you said, the PO may have had a reason, it's better to have it the way its supposed to be.

Thanks for the responses guys.

Battery charging under a desk as we speak. Cant think of a good reason why the PO would set it up like that, once I get a bit of free time I'll be changing it back. Too much of a pain always having to switch it on and off.
