To anyone who has fabbed a homemade Carb-Sync tool from various hardware store items (vinyl tubing, yard sticks, hose T's), what did you do about the 5 mm adaptors that Honda carburators require to plug into the vac ports? Motion Pro tool uses some type of 5mm brass adaptors that thread into the ports. Can I get equivalent pieces from a hardware store or other for cheap? Any other solution? I'm using a hose with a 3/16 ID at the moment. Suggestions or experience greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Well I would not recommend a homemade sync tool just because I tried it and failed miserably. I got a sync tool from ebay for like $70 and it works well. But as for the adapters I used the brass adapters you mentioned and it had a very tiny hole at the top where the air could pass through and I think that small hole made it so the pressure gauge was more constant. I think it will be very hard to get an accurate reading from a gas type measuring device. Anyway back to your question. I think the easiest way to do it is go down to your nearest motorcylce dealer and ask them to order you either some adapters or those gold colored adapter things that come on the #1 and #2 carbs. But if you really want to make it all yourself I am sure you can ask someone to help you find something similar at homedepot or something. Good Luck
