Does anyone kno another brand of bike I can use the regulator rectifier from for my 94 cbr 600? I've seen on here that this is a very common problem w these bikes and someone had posted they used one from a gsxr but wat year n wat size would fit my bike??

Hi cbrgirl82,

Yes, the R/R can be problematic. Honda redesigned the R/R for many models once failures were documented. You should be able to replace it w/ the newer redesigned factory unit. However, if you're intent on replacing w/ something other than Honda, that is up to you. Electrosport is a good quality replacement...Buy New Regulator/Rectifier Honda - Super Duty (5-pin) CBR600F2 Super Sport (91-94)

As for a gsxr replacement or other... Be sure to take a look around in the F2 section for recommendations.

BTW... Welcome to CBRF! :-)

I had an issue with the reg/rec on my F2 CBR. I replaced it with a 6 pin R6 reg/rec, which has been working well!

The R6 seems to be a favourite with the firestorm owners, which must be a good sign as the reg/recs on them are as bad as the ones on the old CBRs!

Cheers

Dunc

I replaced the rr on my f3 a month or so ago, I used one from a gixxer, 2002 I believe, there's a thread around here somewhere over what years will work.
As for the leds, I'm guessing that their wired straight to the battery so it shouldn't affect the rr
