I just got my cage on my 01 f4i. Well I wanted to see where the cage would touch when I laid it down. So I GENTLY set it down on its left side with the engine off. And picked it back up. NEVER STARTED THE ENGINE. So abt 20 minutes later I go to start up the bike and the oil light is staying on.[:@] Checked the oil and it is full. So Im thinking its the oil pressure. I have been told by a couple of guys to start it and let it run for abt 20 secs but I dont want to lock my engine. So Im kinda at a crossroads. Any help would be appreciated.

 

First thing i would do is check your oil pressure switch on the right side of the motor. Make sure you didnt hit it, or pinch any wires when you installed your cage.
