Hard to start my F2
Hello there.
I am trying to start my F2, but that was harder than i expected. The motor turns, but theres only small signs of spark, it sounds like its just about to start any second, exhaust is coming out, and BANG, backfire.
The fuel switch has been on OFF position in weeks, so i figured i had to let it stay on ON for a day or so. Tried to start it again, and it ignites a bit more now, but not enough to get it running. Just exhaust and some backfire.
Ive changed the battery to a brand new one, and im keeping it inside since its cold outside where the bike is. About 23* F...
Anyways, I checked the oil, and it was almost empty? Just a small drop of oil on the stick. Do i need to check the level when the engine is on operating temperature? Its no leak or something, i can see that from under the bike. It has been staying outside for two three months now, in cold weather. Previous owner had a garage, so its used to stay inside in warm conditions.
What to do? Just wait for warmer weather and hope it starts then?

If it was ok before you put it away for winter could be worth draining fuel off and putting in nice fresh. I used to see this regulary with lawnmowers (I know a bit random) left over winter without running and could be same for bike I presume. Fuel does go off.
Hope this helps
