Glad you got it sorted out! Cold tires will lose traction easily ... be extra careful until they are warmed up.

im woundering if the tires are unsafe from sitting for almost 10 years?...probably dry rotton on the inside and stuff..I mean it was in a heated garage?..chain has no signs of rust or nothing but probably good idea to get new tires over the winter

10 year old tires=they're screwed. dont ride on those at all, replace them asap. nothing on earth would suck more than to have a tire fly apart at highway speeds sending you tumbling into traffic.

old tires dryrot, regardless of where they're kept, and they harden, which also makes them cease to be sticky anymore, and you're then in a position where you're riding on vaseline coated glass.
