Ok guys i need some help. I recently purchased a 2001 F4i and noticed there was something funny about the gas cap. anyways today when i went to open it up the key broke off in the lock! its definitely an aftermarket cap as it is way different on the previous f4i that i owned (which was stock). so i read a couple threads on what other people have done to fix it. these are the results so far:
i tried using a screwdriver to turn the lock since i figured the key thats stuck would already have the pins engaged.. that just made the whole cylinder break and is now rotating freely. then i tried drilling out the cylinder to get it undone. that was impossible since the whole thing just spins when i try. what else can i do??

 

nevermind i just drilled the bitch out.. there will be a keyless gas cap in my near future
