Default fuel pump

Will a honda f3 fuel pump ( on tank ) fit onto a 1993 honda cbr f2 without any issues. Mine went bad and I'm having no luck finding one for a f2. I have found one for a f3 but don't want to order it unless I know it's going to fit thanks once again.

Does the f2 have a fuel pump? Why do you think the fuel pump went bad?

Not sure if it did or not and I'm talking about the pump ( at least I think thats what it is one the bottom of the tank not sure u can switch from on the res and off that piece connect to the filter) The filter in the tank was old and had a tear in itand it sucked some rust into it and clogged I took the part apart and blew it out but I'm re-doing this bike anyway and not wanting to risk having more damage done,so I'm just going to replace it. All I was wondering is if the f3 part will fit on mine? thanks.

I am failrly sure that the petcock will not interchange between the f2 and f3. The fuel systems, IIRC, are completly different.

Not a problem. Everyone starts somewhere. It just happens that I started a lot earlier than others with mechanics.

I just checked the part numbers. The petcocks do not have the same part numbers and the setup looks to be different, so to the best of my knowledge, I would have to say that they are not interchangeable.
