Default Front End problems

Where to start:?

I had a suspension guy look at my bike yesterday and was describing my handling issues. He suggested that my 1.0 springs may be too much for my weight. It's possible that he's right, but I'm not sure. But before we proceeded further, he showed me that I have excessive stiction and practically ZERO static sag. IIRC, when my forks were rebuilt, the tech told me that I had some stiction with the OEM build.

I read somewhere that sometimes just changing oil can cure a stiction problem. I also read about a Stanchion Lube. What's causing the stiction?

The guy I talked to lastnight offered to take a look at my forks and possibly do a rebuild, cost about 250-300. Honestly, I would LOVE to know how to do it myself but have yet to find someone willing to show me how to break down a fork.

Well, for starters, what's the proper tool to adjust my preload? I've never adjusted it since having my forks built. I've tweaked the reb/comp to get it how I want, but lately the forks just don't feel the same. Actually the whole bike is jacked, but that's another can of worms.
