Default FI light??

Hey guys,

I was riding home from work yesterday going down the highway when all of the sudden my bike sputtered and the FI light flashed on for a split second then went off and the bike seemed to run fine.

My question is has anyone has this happened to them or know what the cause of this could be? I would like to find the cause of this and fix the problem early before the bike dies on me when I'm doing 70 mph and leaves me stranded. The bike is a 01 600 F4i.

Thanks!

Did all the gauges reset when this happened? or just the FI light flash?

Mine did that for a bit and come to find out it was a loose battery cable. don't know if that helps but its worth checking out.

I don't believe that the gauges reset when it happened although I can't be 100% positive. I did check the battary cables and they were tight. About 2 months ago the bike died on me while riding and it turned out to be a bad connection for the kill switch where it plugs into the front harness. Could that be it? Is this a known issues on this bike?
