Default Bent a fork on my 2002 cbr 600f4i

Is there a way to fix this without replacing as funds are very tight? I was able to ride it home 80 miles after the low side but its noticably bent. When looking down on them the right fork is bent about 1/2" upwards making my brake master cylinder scrape the windscreen.

After typing out a whole thing about bent forks, and rereading your post and looking at my bike, your forks are not bent. (well they could be but thats not what you're describing) Either the fork tube slid up in the triples, or your clip-on is bent. If the clip on is bent, then replace it, proly find one on ebay for 10-20 bucks. Good luck bro.

My clip on is OK but to ride straight I my handlebars have to be turned slightly to the left. Plus the plastic fender/wheel cover looks fine on the left fork but the right fork is actually touching the plastic.

So what happened, anyway.

Have you checked your rear wheel...it might not be parallel with the chain and swingarm, causing the front to steer at an angle.

It was a low side that I couldn't aviod. I was in a group ride where the rider in front of me stopped in a turn that I was rolling pretty fast into. I twas either a collision with him or a dirt mound with 4x4 posts.

Its definately the front though. If I sit on the bike I can tell the handle bars point left to have the wheel pointed straight. I've read that you can loosen the triple clamps and adjust the forks to possibly straighten them out. I may have to take it to the shop but $$$ is tight.

I wouldn't straighten a fork bent that much. The metal will not be as strong, just replace it.
