Fender Eliminator - Seat Lock
I just got a "new" 2005 F4i. The first owner hardly rode it and besides a tank pad didn't touch a thing so the bulky stock rear fender is still hanging down. I want to remove it, but rather than the custom job I did on my last bike in which I just chopped the fender down and bolted the plate on, I want to do this one up with something a little more finished. Only thing is, the seat lock key hole is on the fender unlike my other bike in which it was on the side fairing. Will an eliminator that I get online take this into consideration? I looked at a C.W. eliminator and it removes the whole thing, so where does it relocate the lock to? Is this a big undertaking? Thanks!
It should have a hole already drilled in the undertail to fit the lock. The angle is 90* off from before so you just bend the actuator arm. It's quite easy, you should't worry about it and most kits come with decent instructions.
