Default Fairing bolt kits...

Ok i bought my bike the other day and the guy told me he had converted it into an f4i from an f4. However, when i went to buy mirrors for it the only ones that fit are the 03-06' 600rr - 1000rr mirrors

Now im needing new fairing bolts because the ones on it are most likely not the ones made for it and fit aweful. They are a mixture of flat and head phillip head screws with washers on both sides of the plastic and the nut is in the back of the plastic.

Now im planning on buying a completely new fairing bolt kit and do not know whether i willl need the f4i or rr kit.

Dont think the guy went through any real midifying process cause the plastic fit like crap, the front fairing is pretty much being stretched to reach the bolt holes in the side fairings.

All of the f4 fairings and lights came with the bike i may just sand them down re-paint and go back old school with the bike.

Did you try going by your local bike shop to see what they may say for you to buy for them to fit? It would seem like after a while the plastics may break if you do wheelie or any hard stunting if the plastics are being streched.

If you have ACE Hardware around, I would just go over there and get some bolts. You can get allen head, stainless steel, black, etc, etc, etc. Plus the bolts run from .19 to 1.00 versus 5 something the stealer wanted to charge me!

Where are you finding these kits, hit me up with a link. If it's not too expensive, I wouldn't be against redo'ing my bolts to match up to stock.

I dont wheelie or stunt, just ride to work and school on it. Figure if i can get the plastic to fit a little better i should be alright till i can sand and paint the factory plastics.
