2004 F4i, 13000 miles...

Ive noticed for the past few days, there has been a pretty noticable smell coming from the front of the tank/below the handlebars... It smells like burning rubber or something electrical. Everything works fine with the bike, so i'm confused as to what it is. I havent inspected it yet, but am going to in the next few days, just wondering if anyone else has had this problem?
