Default Smell of oil burning?

Sorry for the newbie question but I just got a 2007 CBR 600 rr (blue and silver) last Tuesday. I tilted it over the first time I got on it (long and dumb story) and when I get back from rides, I think I smell some oil burning. It hasnt leaked a drop so Im not sure and given this is my first bike and its new, Im not sure if that is normal until I get some miles on it.

My first service is at 600 miles but until then, should I be concerned? (The oil gauge isnt on and it it reads normal when I view it.)

Thanks for any info.

Could be one of 2 things. Cosmalene (sp) still burning off, or when you tilted it, your overflow tubes got some fluid on the headers. Thats the most likely case.

So if its either of those, my best course of action is to just let it burn off?

Thats about all you can do if its something on your headers...... take simple green to get if off but then that will have to burn off.

If its cosmoline, you cant do anything to get it off except let it burn.
